The University of Florida needed two engaging informational videos to explain financial aid options for prospective students, but filming on location wasn’t feasible due to time and crew constraints. The project required two versions: one for in-state applicants and one for out-of-state.

As art director, I developed three distinct illustration-driven directions, each with a unique graphic style. I also created multiple storyboard sets based on the scripts, exploring how visuals could best support the voiceover and keep the pacing clear and engaging. In the end, we landed on a mixed-media approach using stock imagery and original photography from the client.

We used typography, graphics, and motion to bring structure to the narrative and highlight key points without overwhelming the viewer. With a younger audience in mind, we leaned into a bold, modern visual language that felt fresh and accessible.

I worked closely with the animation team to ensure smooth translation of the art direction into motion, focusing on timing, transitions, and cohesion. The final result was a polished, informative video series that made complex financial information clear and visually engaging.
